Given:-

  • Initial velocity ,u = 0m/s
  • Final velocity ,v = 36km/h
  • Time taken ,t = 10min

To Find :-

  • Acceleration ,a

Solution :-

We have to calculate the acceleration of the bus .

As we know that acceleration is defined as the rate of change in velocity .

Conversion of unit

➻ v = 36×5/18

➻ v = 2×5

➻ v = 10m/s

And,

➻ t = 10×60

➻ t = 600s

Now, calculating the acceleration .

Using Formula

  • a = v-u/t

substitute the value we get

➻ a = 10-0/600

➻ a = 10/600

➻ a = 1/60

➻ a = 0.0166 ≈ 0.017 m/s²

  • Hence, the acceleration of the bus will be 0.017 m/.

So, the required option is (b) 0.017m/.

Answer:

(b) 0.017 m/s^2

Explanation:

Wehave,

Initial velocity = 0m/s

Final velocity = 36m/hr

Time taken = 10min = 600sec

We have to find the acceleration

So, formula of acceleration is

 {\sf\tt\bf{\red{\boxed{a =  \frac{v - u}{t} }}}}

Putting values in the formula

 \sf{a =  \frac{10 - 0}{600}} \\

 \sf{a =  \frac{1}{60}} =0.0166666667 \\

 \sf{a =\pink{0.017m/s^2}(approx)}
