• Acquired speed = 60 m/sec

EXPLANATION :

GIVEN :–

• Acceleration (a) = 0.5 m/s²

• Time (t) = 2 minute = 2 × 60 sec = 120 sec

• Initial velocity (u) = 0 m/sec

TO FIND :–

• Acquired speed (v) = ?

SOLUTION :–

• We know that –

☞ v = u + at

• Now put the values –

⇒ v = (0) + (0.5)(120)

⇒ v = 0 + (120)/(2)

⇒ v = 60 m/sec

✯ OTHER FORMULAS :–

(1) v = u + at

(2) s = ut + ½ at²

(3) v² - u² = 2as

• All above formulas are applied for constant acceleration.
