SOLUTION:-

A. Find the total distance traveled by a person traveling from place A to place D?

SOL A :-

Distance travelled by person from point A to B = 4170 km

Distance travelled by person from point B to C = 3410 km

Distance travelled by person from point C to D = 2160 km

So,

Total distance travelled by person from point A to D = 4170 km + 3410 km + 2160 km = 9740 km.

SOL 2 :-

Distance travelled from point B to C = 3410 km

Distance travelled from point C to D = 2160 km

So,

Total distance travelled from point B to D = 3410 km + 2160 km = 5570 km

SOL 3 :-

The distance from Point A to point D = 9740 km

The distance from Point C to point D = 2160 km

So,

The difference between point A to D and point C to D = 9740 km - 2160 km = 7580 km.

SOL 4 :-

Distance from point B to point C = 3410 km

Distance from Point C to point D = 2160 km

So,

Yes,the distance from B to C is more than the distance from C to D.
