Answer:

22 m/s

Explanation:

u [initial velocity]=10m/s

acceleration=0.1m/s^{2

time= 2 minutes

       = 120 seconds

v [final velocity]= ?

Substituting

a=v-u/t

0.1=v-10/120

12=v-10

12+10=v

22 m/s=v

Hope this helps you greatly

Answer :

➥ The final velocity of a bus = 22 m/s

Given :

➤ Intial velocity of a bus (u) = 10 m/s

➤ Acceleration of a bus (a) = 0.1 m/s²

➤ Time taken by a bus (t) = 2 min

To Find :

➤ Final velocity of a bus (v) = ?

Solution :

To find the final velocity of a bus, first we need to convert the time taken minute into second, then after we find final velocity of a bus from first equation of motion.

◈ Time taken (t) = 2 min = 2 × 60 = 120 sec

Final velocity of a bus

From first equation of motion

→ v = u + at

→ v = 10 + 0.1 × 120

→ v = 10 + 12

v = 22 m/s

Hence, the final velocity of a bus is 22 m/s.

Some related equations :

⪼ v = u + at

⪼ s = ut + ½ at²

⪼ v² = u² + 2as

Where,

  • v is the final velocity.
  • u is the intial velocity.
  • a is the acceleration.
  • t is the time taken.
  • s is the distance.
