A bus stop is barricaded from the remaining part of the road, by using 50 hollow cones made of recycled cardboard. Each cone has a base diameter of 4() cm and height I m. Ifthe outer side of each of the cones is to be painted and the cost of painting is 12 per m2, what will be the cost of painting all these cones? (Use π = 3.14 and take = 1.02)

Answer:

Rs 384.336

Step-by-step explanation:

height of the each cone =1 m

diameter of base of each cone = 40 cm

radius of base of each cone= \frac{diametre}{2}=\frac{40}{2} =20 cm

                                    =\frac{20}{100} m= 0.20 m

now, slant height of each cone, l =\sqrt{radius^{2} +height^{2} }

                                          =\sqrt{0.20^{2} +1^{2} }

                                          =1.02 m

curved surface area of each cone =\pi \times radius\times slant\ height

                                               =3.14\times0.20\times1.02

                                               =0.64056 m^{2}

cost of painting = Rs 12 per m^{2}

total cost of painting of all 50 cones = 50\times cost of painting per m^{2} \times curved area of each cone

                                          =50\times 12\times 0.64056

                                           =Rs 384.336
