A bus stop is barricaded from the remaining part of the road by using 50 hollow cones made up of recycled cardboard. Each cone has a diameter of 40cm and height 1m. If the outer side each of the cones is to be painted and the cost of painting is 12 rupee per meter square , what will be the cost of painting of all these cones? Diameter of cones = 40cm

Radius of cones = 40/2 = 20 cm

Height of cones = 1m =100cm

curves surface area = pi,r,l

= 3.14×20×100

= 12280cm

curved surface area of 50cones =12280×50

=614000cm

=6140m

cost of painting 1meter squre =12Rs

cost of painting 6140meter square=12 ×6140

= 73680Rs

73680Rs Rs is required for painting all the cones .
