speed = distance/ time.
Given:-time=2hrs= 120mins
distance=80km= 80000mts.
speed= 80000/120
= 666.6m/sec.

In km/hr.
speed =80/2
= 40 km/hr.

The speed is 40 km/hr or 11.11 m/s.

  • Physical fundamental units are used to quantify a wide range of quantifiable quantities. One such measurable metric is speed, which calculates the ratio between the distance an object travels and the time needed to cover that distance.
  • The distance travelled in relation to the time it took to travel that distance is how speed is defined.
  • Since speed simply has a direction and no magnitude, it is a scalar quantity. When an object travels the same distance in the same amount of time, it is said to be moving at a uniform speed. When an object travels the same distance in the same amount of time, it is said to be moving at a uniform speed.

Here, according to the given information, we are given that,

Distance = 80 km = 80000 m.

Time = 2 hours = 7200 seconds.

Then, we know that,

Speed = \frac{Distance}{Time} =\frac{80}{2} =40 km/hr.

Now, in metre per seconds it will be, \frac{80000}{7200} =11.11 m/s.

Hence, the speed is 40 km/hr or 11.11 m/s.
