Answer:

time(t) = 30min. or 1800 sec

distance(dis.) = 18km or 18000 m

speed =  \frac{18000}{1800}

speed = 10m/s

hope it helps you......

Given:

A bus takes 30 minutes to cover a distance of 18 km.

To find:

The speed in km/hr.

Solution:

We know that,

S=D/t.

Where 'S' is the speed of the bus =x km/hr.

D is the distance covered by the bus =18 km.

t is the time required to cover the distance= 30 minutes or 1/2 hours.

Putting the value in the above formula we get-

x =  \frac{18}{ \frac{1}{2} }  \\ x = 36

The value of x is 36.

Hence the speed of the bus is 36 km/hr.
