Step-by-step explanation:

distance covered by bus =420km ,time=6hours speed of bus =distance ÷time =420÷6 =70km\h distance covered by train 900 km time taken =3hours , speed=distance÷time =900÷3 =300km\h train travel faster

Answer:-

  • Speed of bus is 70 km per hour.
  • Speed of train is 300 km per hour.
  • Train travels faster than the bus.

GIVEN:-

Distance travelled by the bus in 6 hours :- 420 km

Distance covered by the train in 3 hours :- 900 km

TO FIND:-

Speed of the bus = ?

Speed of the train = ?

Which one of the two travel's faster = ?

SOLUTION:-

Formula to find speed

 \bold{ \underline {\overline{ \boxed{S =  \frac{D \: (Distance)}{T\: (Time)}}}}}

Speed of the bus = S = D/T

S = D/T = 420/6

420/6 = 70 km

So, the speed of the bus is 70 km per hour.

Speed of the train = S = D/T

S = D/T = 900/3

900/3 = 100 km

So, the speed of the train is 300 km per hour.

So, together the bus covers 70 Km in 1 hour and the train covers 300 Km in 1 hour.

TO COMPARE:-

Speed of the bus and Speed of the train

Speed of bus = 70 km

Speed of train = 300 km

So,

300 > 70

Speed of the bus is lesser than the speed of the train.

So, the train travels faster than the train.
