A bus travelling at 36 km/hr accelerates uniformly for 10 sec to attain a velocity of 54 km/hr. Find its acceleration

(b) 0.5 m/s/s

(c) 0.3 m/s/s

(d) 1.5 m/s/s

\huge\red{\underline{{\boxed{\textbf{ANSWER}}}}}

Equation:-

v = u + at

 \frac{36km}{hour}  =  \frac{36 \times 1000}{60 \times 60}  = 10 \:  \frac{m}{s}

 \frac{54km}{hour}  =  \frac{56 \times 1000}{60 \times 60}  = 15 \:  \frac{m}{s}

Substitute the values in Equation :-

15 m/s = 10 m/s + a × 10 s

a× 10s = 5m/s

a = 5m/s / 10 s

a = 0.5 m/s²

OPTION [B] = 0.5 m/s² is correct one ✔️

Answer:

(b)0.5 m/s^2

Given:

Initial velocity (u)=36kmlhr

Initial velocity (u)=36×5/18m/s =10m/s

Final velocity (v)=54km/hr

Final velocity (v)=54×5/18m/s =15m/s

Time =10seconds

Solution:

According to first equation of motion:

Acceleration (a)=v-u/t

=(15)-10/10 =5/10m/s

=1/2m/s =0.5m/s^2
