Answer:

acceleration = (v-u)/t

36 kmph = 10m/s

54kmph = 15m/s

a = 15-10/5 = 5/5 = 1m/s²

Given :-

A bus travelling at 36km/h accelerates uniformly for 5 s to attain a velocity of 54 km/h

To Find :-

Acceleration

Solution :-

We know that

1 km/h = 5/18 m/s

36 km/h = 36 × 5/18 = 2 × 5 = 10 m/s

54 km/h = 54 × 5/18 = 3 × 5 = 15 m/s

Now

a = v - u/t

Where

a = acceleration

v = final velocity

u = initial velocity

t = time

a = 15 - 10/5

a = 5/5

a = 1 m/s²
