  • Distance travelled= Speed x Time =42 x 5= 210- Kms.

  • On increasing the speed by 8- Km/h, the speed=(42+8)= 50- Km/h.

  • So time taken to travel at the new speed= 210/50= 4.2- hours.

  • Time saved = 5- hours -(4.2- hours) =0.8- hours

  • = 48 minutes.

Aɴsʀ:-

Time required when speed is increased by 8km/hr is 48 mins.
