- Distance travelled= Speed x Time =42 x 5= 210- Kms.
- On increasing the speed by 8- Km/h, the speed=(42+8)= 50- Km/h.
- So time taken to travel at the new speed= 210/50= 4.2- hours.
- Time saved = 5- hours -(4.2- hours) =0.8- hours
- = 48 minutes. ★
