Answer:

hope it helped you friend please mark me as brainliest and follow me I need more thanks please

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:1) Speed=42km/hr. 2) Time=5hr

By formula :

Speed=distance/time………(1)

Distance=Speed*time

So,

Distance=42km/hr*5hr=210 km

Therefore,time required when speed is increased by 8 km/hr:

Time =Distance/speed….from(1)

Increased speed=(42+8)km/hr=50km/hr

Time=210/50

Time=4.2hr

Time required when speed is increased by 8km/hr is 4.2 hr.

Answer:

The bus travelling at 42 km/hrs

The bus covers a distance in 5 hrs

So the distance

= Speed × Time

= 42 × 5 km

= 210 km

Now if it increased its speed by 8 km/hrs

Then new speed = (42+8) = 50 km/ h

So the required time

= Distance / Speed

= 210/50 h

= 21/5 h

= 4 hr 12 min

So the time would be saved

= 5 hr - 4 hr 12 min

= 48 min
