A BUS TRAVELLING AT 42KM/H COVERS A DISTANCE IN 5H.HOW MUCH TIME WOULD IT SAVE IF IT INCREASED ITS SPEED BY 8KM/H? STEP BY STEP

distance covered in 5hrs = 42×5 = 210km

if speed is increased by 8km/h , new speed = 42+8 = 50 km/h

new time = 210/50 = 4.2 hours

time saved = 5 - 4.2 = 0.8 hours

0.8 hours = 0.8 × 60 = 48 minutes

Time saved = 48 minutes

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

the distance would be same so

Speed =distance /time

42*5=50x

X = the time taken

210=50x

X=210/50

X=4.2
