Given:

  • Distance travelled by bus = 120m/s
  • Time taken = 5 hrs

To find:

  • Average Speed

Conversion:

120 km → m

1km → 1000 m

For 120km → ?m

Now,

120km = 120 × 1000

120km = 120000 m

______________________

5 hrs → min → sec

1 hr = 60 min

5hrs = 5 × 60

5hrs = 300min

Now,

min → sec

→ 300min = ? sec

1 min = 60s

→ 300min = 60 × 300

300 min = 18000s

Solution:

Average Speed = total distance/total time taken

→ Avg. Speed = 120000/18000

→ Avg. Speed = 120/18

Avg. Speed = 6.66 m/s

Hence, average Speed of bus = 6.66m/s
