Hey......!!! here is ur answer......
__________________________
__________________________
Given that, the first distance= 40km and speed= 10m/sec = 10×18/5km/h= 36km/h
then we know that,
time = distance/speed
time= 40/36= 10/9hrs
___________________________
and the second distance= 60km and speed = 15m/sec = 15×18/5= 54km/h
then we know that,
time =distance/speed
time = 60/54 = 10/9hrs
___________________________
Then we know that,
Average speed= (Total distance)/(Total time)
A.S.= (40+60)/(10/9+10/9)
A.S.= 100/(20/9)
A.S.= (100×9)/20
A.S.= 900/20
A.S.= 45km/h
