a bus travels from A to B at covers a distance of 45 km at a uniform speed of 60 kilometre per hour and from B to C covering a distance of 30 km at the speed of 40 km per hour calculate the average speed​

Lets take the distance between the station A & B is 120 Km.

Speed for travelling from station A to B is 40 Kmph so it takes 3 Hrs to reach.

Speed for travelling from station B to A is 60 Kmph so it takes 2 Hrs to return.

Now,

Total distance travelled is 240 Km

Total travelling time is 5 Hrs

Average speed =total Distance travelled / total time taken

= 240/5

= 48 Km/Hr
