Given :- A bus travels x km per hour. It is going from Delhi to Luknow. After the bus has traveled for 6 hours, Lucknow is still 20 Kms away. What is the distance from Delhi to Lucknow. Express it using x.

Solution :-

→ Speed of bus = x km/h

so,

→ In 6 hours bus travelled distance = speed * time = x * 6 = 6x km.

now, given that, after travelling for 5 hours , Lucknow is still 20 km away .

therefore,

→ The distance from Delhi to Lucknow = Distance covered + Distance left .

→ The distance from Delhi to Lucknow = (6x + 20) km (Ans.)

Hence, the distance from Delhi to Lucknow is (6x + 20) km .
