A bus was moving with a speed of 54 km/h. On applying brakes , it stopped in 8s . Calculate the acceleration and the distance travelled before stopping

  =15m/s
v=0
t=8s
a=v-u/t
  =0-15/8
 =-15/8
  =-1.875m s -2

distance= speed × time
d=54 km/h= 15m/s
d=15 × 8=120m
acceleration=(final speed - intial speed) / time
a=15 - 0 / 8
  =1.875m/s
