Answer:

θ = 53⁰

Explanation:

Let angle θ at which rain drops strike the wind shield .

Given :

Horizontal component of falling rain  is 40 km / hr

Vertical  component is 30 km / hr .

We know

tan θ  = Horizontal component / Vertical  component

tan θ  = 40 km / hr / 30 km / hr .

tan θ  = 4 / 3

θ = tan⁻¹ ( 4 / 3 ) .

θ = 53⁰
