Given:-

  • A business man purchase 75 m clothes at a rate of Rs. 18 m. To gain Rs. 90 the selling price of 1 m cloth is .

To Find:-

  • The selling price price of 1 m cloth = ?

Solution:-

  • To calculate the selling price price of 1 m of clothes at first we have to find cost price of clothes then with the help of cost price we will find out selling price of clothes.

⟼ The cost price of clothes = Rate × length of clothes

⟼ The cost price of clothes = 18 × 75

⟼ The cost price of clothes = Rs. 1350

  • Now calculate selling price of clothes:-

The selling price of clothes = Cost price + gain

⟼ The selling price of clothes = 1350 + 90

⟼ The selling price of clothes = Rs. 1440

  • Now calculate selling price of 1 m of cloth:-

⟼ Selling price of 1 m of cloth = selling ÷ length of clothes

⟼ Selling price of 1 m of cloth = 1440 ÷ 75

⟼ Selling price of 1 m of cloth = Rs. 19.20

Hence,

  • The selling price of 1 m of cloth = Rs. 19.20

Given :-

A business man purchased 75 m cloth at  a rate of Rs. 18 per metre. To gain Rs. 90,

To Find :-

SP of 1 m of cloth

Solution :-

At first the total purchase price for man

⇒ 75 × 18

⇒ 1350.

We know that

SP = Profit + CP

⇒ SP = 90 + 1350

⇒ SP = 1440

Now

SP of 1 m of cloth

⇒ 1440/75

⇒ 19.2
