Answer:-

87.8%

Step-by-step explanation:

In this question

We have been given that

Businessman purchased 15% defective product in 600 ICs and 8% defective product in 400 Arduinos.

So firstly we will find no. of product that are in working condition.

Product of ICs = (number of product) - (number of product)/(defected product %)

Product of ICs = 600\ -\ \frac{600}{100}\times 15

Product of ICs = 600\ -\ 90

Product of ICs = 510

Similarly product of Arduinos = (number of product) -  (number of products)/(defective products)

Product of Arduinos = 400\ -\ \frac{400}{100}\times 8

Product of Arduinos = 400\ -\ 32

Product of Arduinos = 368

So, the total number of product in working condition = 510\ +\ 368

Total no.  of product in working condition = 878

and Total no. of product = 1000

Therefore, % of product in working condition = \frac{total\ number\ of\ product\ in\ working\ condition}{total\ number\ of\ product}\times 100

% of product in working condition = \frac{878}{1000}\times 100

% of product in working condition = 87.8

Hence, percentage of instruments that are in working condition 87.8%
