Answer:

Half of Rs.600=300

1st at 10% of loss=90% of 300= 270Rs.

2nd at 20% of profit=120% of 300=360Rs.

Then, total amount he earned by selling the two halves=270+360=330Rs.

So it's a profit as the selling price is greater than cost price.

% of S.P. than C.P.= x% of 300=330

x/100*300=330

x=330/3=110%

Profit%=110-100=10%

Answer:

Total CP = 600

Half = 300

He sold 1st half for 10% loss

SP = 300*90/10

=270

Then he sold 2nd half at 20% profit

SP= 300*120/100

=360

Total SP = 270+360

=630

SO, PROFIT = 30

PROFIT% = 30*100/600

=5
