ANSWER
(B) 480
Step-by-step explanation:
let the price of shirt be x then,
he had sold the shirt at 1.1x
Now, if he had purchased the shirt at 0.9x and sell it at 1.1x +12, he would have earned a profit of 25%
So, 1.1x+12/ 0.9x = 125/100 0r 5/4, by cross multiplying we get,=4.4x+48= 4.5x, 0.1x = 48, x= 480
Or, 1.1x-0.9x+12/ 0.9x = 25/100 or 1/4, by cross multiplying we get, 0.8x + 48 = 0.9x, 0.1x=48, x= 480
