Step-by-step explanation:

Total Donation :- 3,00,000

let Institutions be A:B:C

1:3:4. Total 8 parts

So institution A :- 3,00,000*1/8 = 37500

institution B :- 3,00,000*3/8 = 112500

Institution C :- 300,000*4/8 = 150,000

Given:

Amount to be donated = Rs. 3,00,000

Number of institituions = 3

Ratio of division = 1:3:4

To find:

How much amount will each institution receive

Solution:

Ratio of first institution = 1/8

Thus, amount for first institution -

= 3,00,000 x 1/8

= 37,500

Similarly,

Ratio of second institution = 3/8

Thus, amount for second institution -

= 3,00,000 x 3/8

= 1,12,500

Similarly,

Ratio of third institution = 4/8

Thus, amount for third institution -

= 300,000 x 4/8

= 300000/2

= 150,000

Answer: Amount received by 1st is Rs,  37,500, 2nd is 1,12,500 and 3rd is 150,000
