Step-by-step explanation:

see it is clearly given the cake was divided among four boys each got the part on fraction iam not going in detail of the fraction and it is given that 2 pieces were left so 4+2=6

sarnendudas83: 2 pieces left is told
sarnendudas83: so atp
sarnendudas83: (according to problem)
sarnendudas83: 1/12=2 so 1=12×2 cross multiply
sarnendudas83: 1=24
sarnendudas83: cake we assumed 1 so cake was cut into 24 pieces

Answer:

The cake was divided into 24 pieces.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let you assume the cake as 1. i.e. there was 1 cake.

It is given , Aman got 1/3 cake.

Bhanu got 1/4 cake.

Cary got 1/6 cake.

i.e. total cake eaten by three=

1/3 + 1/4 + 1/6

= 3/ 4 cake

Cake left = 1/4

Cake taken by Dhiraj= 1/3 of 1/4

= 1/12

Now

1/12 = 2 (it is given that 2 pieces are left)

1 = 2×12

1=24

i.e. 1 cake was cut into 24 pieces.

THEREFORE, CAKE DIVIDED IN 24 PIECES.
