Answer:

Sam have not enough cups.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : A Cake recipe requires \frac{3}{4} cups  of walnut. Sam has \frac{2}{3} cup.

To find : Does he have enough?

Solution :

According to question we have to compare the quantity to get the result.

So, for comparison we make the fraction denominator same for easier way.

Multiply Nr. and Dr. of \frac{3}{4} by 3,

\frac{3\times 3}{4\times 3}=\frac{9}{12}

Multiply Nr. and Dr. of \frac{2}{3} by 4,

\frac{2\times 4}{3\times 4}=\frac{8}{12}

Now, On comparison

\frac{9}{12}>\frac{8}{12}

i.e. \frac{3}{4}>\frac{2}{3}

Which means cake recipe requires cups of walnut is greater than what Sam have.

So, Sam have not enough cups.
