Answer:

Jacob ate the biggest share of the cake...

Step-by-step explanation:

Jacob ate =2/5

Sandeep ate =3/8

find LCM of these numbers..

 \frac{2}{5}  \: and \:   \frac{3}{8}

5 \times 8 = 40

 \frac{2 \times 8}{40}  =  \frac{16}{40}

 \frac{3 \times 5}{40}  =  \frac{15}{40}

The balance portion = 40 - (16 + 15 )

= 40 - 31

Hammad ate = 9/40

 \frac{9}{40}

Therefore Jacob ate the biggest share of the cake...

Let the cake eaten by hammad=x

(2/5)+(3/8)+x=1

(31/40)+x=1

x=1-(31/40)

x=9/40

Cake eaten by jacob=2/5=0.4

Cake eaten by sandeep=3/8=0.375

Cake eaten by Hammad=0.225

Therefore Jacob ate the biggest share of cake.
