a) calculate the number of moles present in 112 L ammonia.

solution : no of moles of an ideal gas  = given volume/22.4L/mol

                                                               = 112L/22.4L/mol = 5 mol

therefore the no of moles of 112L ammonia is 5.

b) how many molecules are present in it ?

solution : no of molecules of ammonia = no of moles of ammonia × Avogadro's number

= 5 × 6.023 × 10²³

= 3.0115 × 10²⁴

therefore the no of molecules of ammonia is 3.0115 × 10²⁴.

c) find out the mass of 112L ammonia.

solution : the mass of the 112L ammonia = no of moles of ammonia × molecular mass of ammonia.

= 5 mol × 17g/mol

= 85 g

therefore the mass of 112L ammonia is 85 g.
