Answer:

Pressure = 600 answer

40kg => 40*10N = 400N

area => 6 * 25 = 150cm => 1.5m

pressure => 400 * 1.5m = 600

The pressure of an object can be defined as the force exerted per unit area.

Explanation:

  • if the area of contact of one shoe is equal to 150 square CM then the area of contact of two shoe in the 2 legs of the person is equal to 300 square centimetre.
  • The formula for pressure = force/ area

Given,

  1. The force is due to the weight of the person= 300N
  2. The area = 300cm² or 0.03m²
  • Hence the pressure is 300/ 0.03 = 30,000 Pa
  • With increase in the area on which the force is contracted there is decrease in  the pressure which is exerted in that particular area
