Volume of the can = π × r^2 × h

= 3.14 × 3 × 3 × 12 = 339.12dm^3

I dm^3 = 1000 ml

339.12dm^3 = 339120 ml

= 339120 ml / 500 ml = 678.24 cans or 679 cans
