I don’t believe cans can really can anything, let alone other cans. Why haven’t you learned yet to form the passive voice with the verb to be plus a past participle?
One of your cans is intransitive, meaning be able, and the other is transitive., meaning preserve in a sealed container. Only the second can can be ‘canned’ in a passive construction.
