Answer:

GIVEN :

A can complete the work in 36 days and B can complete the same work in 45 days.

C’s work efficiency is 20% of the work efficiency of A.

CALCULATION :

Let, A’s efficiency = x/day

∴ C’s efficiency = x × 20/100 = 0.2x/day

Let, C can complete the work in a days

According to problem,

⇒ x × 36 = 0.2x × a

⇒ a = 36/0.2

⇒ a = 180

∴ C can complete the work in 180 days

Let, they together can complete the work in = y days

According to problem,

⇒ y (1/36 + 1/45 + 1/180) = 1

⇒ y ((5 + 4 + 1)/180) = 1

⇒ y = 180/10

⇒ y = 18

∴ A, B and C together can complete the work in = 18 days
