A can complete the work in 24 days

⇒ 1 day = 1/24 of the work

B can complete the work in 18 days

⇒ 1 day = 1/18 of the work

Find the amount of work A and B can do in 1 days:

1 day = 1/24 + 1/28 = 7/72

Find the amount of work A and B can do in 4 days:

1 day = 7/72

4 days = 7/72 x 4 = 7/18

Find the amount of work remain:

Work remain = 1 - 7/18 = 11/18

Find the number of days  B need to work:

Number of days = 11/18 ÷ 1/18 = 11

Number of days to complete the work:

Total number of days = 4 + 11 = 15

Answer:  The work will be completed in 15 days
