A can do 2/3 of a certain work in 16 days and B can do 1/4 of the same work in 3days. In how many days can both finish the work, working together?

same way B can the work in 12 days

4 parts =12 days

so A one day work = 1/24

and B one day work = 1/12

combined work =

 \frac{1}{24}   +  \frac{1}{12}  =  \frac{1 + 2}{24}  =  \frac{3}{24}

= 1/8

so that means they can complete the work in 8 days
