A will do complete work 10/1/4 = 10 × 4 = 40 days

B can do 40% of the same work in 40 days

40%= 40/100 = 0.40

B will do complete work = 40/0.40 = 100 days

C can do 1/3 of the work in 13 days.

C will do complete work = 13/1/3 = 13 × 3/1 = 39 days

Thus A will complete entire work in 40 days, B in 100 days and C in 39 days.

Obviously C will complete the entire work first only in 39 days
