Answer:

12 ÷ 2 = 6

10 ÷ 2 = 5

6, 5

Since they took 4 days working together, we subtract 4 from each of their half number.

A => 6 - 4 = 2

B => 5 - 4 = 1

1 is the answer. B takes 1 day more to complete.

Step-by-step explanation:

a can do a work in 12 days .

let whole work be considered as 1.

so 1 = 12 days

1/12 = 1 day.

so work done in 1 day by A = 1/12.

in the same way ,

work done by B in 1 day = 1/10

together work done in 1 day = 1/12 + 1/10= 11/60

work done in 4 days by both = 11/60 *4 = 11/15

so work left 1-11/15= 4/15

B can do. 1 work = 12 days

so 4/15 work in = 12*(4/15) days= 16/5 days is the ans.

i hope this helps.
