1 day work= 1/ no. of days

A's 1-day work= 1/12

B's 1-day work= 1/8

(A+B+C)'s 1-day work= 1/4

So,

(A+B)'s 1 day work= 1/12 + 1/8

= 8+12/96

= 20/96

=10/ 48

= 5/ 24

So C's one day work should be (A+B+C)'s 1-day work- (A+B)'s 1-day work

= 1/4 - 5/24

= 24- 20/ 96

=4/96

= 1/24

Therefore no. of days taken by C to finish 1 work= 24 days
