A can do a piece of work in 10 days and B in 20 days they begin together but A leaves 2 days before the completion of the work. In how many days will the whole work be completed​

then A's work in 1 day=1/10

B=in 20 days

then B's work in 1 day= 1/20

Both A and B's work in 1 day=

(1/10)+(1/20)

=3/20

After 2 day work done =

3×2/10

=3/5

remaining work after 2 days

1-(3/5)

=2/5

Remaining work to be done by B will be =

B can do whole work in 20 days

B can do 2/5 work in 20×2/5

=8 days

So total work will be done in

8+2 =10 days
