Step-by-step explanation:

A will do 1/10th work in 1 day

B will do 1/20th work in 1 day

work together

1/10+1/20=3/20

5 days work=5*3/20=15/20=3/4

remianing work=1/4

b 1 day----->1/20

Answer:

A takes 10 days

1 day work of A=1/10

B takes 20 days

1 day work of B= 1/20

1 day work if A and B together = 1/10+1/20=3/20

they worked together for 5 days

work completed =3/20X5=3/4

remaining work = 1-3/4=1/4

time taken by B to complete 1/4 work=

¼/1/20

=1/4X20

=5 days

therefore B takes 5 days to complete remaining work
