let total work = 1 units

A's 1 day's work = 1/10

B's 1 day's work = 1/ 15

on working together:

(A +B)'s 1 day's work

= (1/10) + (1/15)

= 25/150 = 1/6

Answer: together they can finish the work in 6 days.

Answer:

A and B can together do the piece of work in 6 days.

Step-by-step explanation:

A can do a piece of work in 10 days

Therefore, A's 1 day work = 1/10

B can do a piece of work in 15 days

Therefore, B's 1 day work = 1/15

Therefore, (A+B)'s 1 day work = 1/10 + 1/15

                                                = (3 + 2 )/30

                                               = 5/30

                                               = 1/6

Therefore, ( A + B ) can together do the piece of work in 6 days.
