A can do a piece of work in 12 days.

B is 50% more efficient than A

So B can work 1.5 times faster than A

Days needed by B to finish the work = days needed by A ÷ 1.5 = 12 ÷ 1.5 = 8 days.

B will need 8 days to finish the work.
