Answer:

A's Idays work=1/14

Bis. = 1/21

A+B's. 1/14+1/21

= 3/42+2/42 = 5/42

A+B's 3 days work=5/42x3=15/42

= 5/14

Balance = 1-5/14 = 9/14

Balance 9/i4 completed by B in

9/14x2 I/1=189 / 14=I3 1/2 days

A and B worked for 3 days

B alone worked 13 1/2 days to finish the work

Total 3+13 1/2 = 16 1/2 days
