A can do a piece of work in 14 days
work in one = 1/14
B can do it in 21 days
so in one day = 1/21
let the remaining work be x
A+B = 1 work
(6/14)+(6+x/21 ) = 1
(18+12+2x)/42 = 1
30+2x = 42
2x = 42-30
x = 12/2
x = 6 days
