Given : A can do piece of work = 15 days

            B alone can do piece of work = 10 days

To find : How many days A required to finish the work alone.

Proof :

We have ,

B alone  can do piece of work = 10 days

∴ B 's 5 days work = 1/10 * 5 = 1/2

=> Remaining work = 1 - 1/2 = 1/2

∴  A can finish work = 15 * 1/2 = 7.5 days

Hence , A alone can finish the remaining work in 7.5 days
