A can do a piece of work in 15 days which b can do in 18 days. in how many days will they finish the work, both working together.

A can do the whole work in 15 days

So, in one day he can do 1/15 of the work

B can do the whole work in 18 days

So, in 1 day he can do 1/18 of the work

So, together in one day they can do 1/15+1/18 of the work = 6/90 + 5/90 = 11/90 of the work

So, days they will finish the work in if doing it together = 1/ (11/90) = 90/11 = 8 and 2/11 days
