A's 1-day work = 2/3/16

                        = 2/48

                        = 1/4.

B's 1-day work = 1/4/3

                         = 1/12.

(A+B)'s one day work = 1/24 + 1/12 

                                    = 3/24

                                    = 1/8.

A and B together can complete work in 8 days.
