B efficiency = A effect + 60%

 \implies 100% +60%

 \implies160%.

A working time = 24 days.

24 \times 100\% = x \times 160\% \\ x =   \frac{\cancel2 \cancel4 \times  \cancel100}{ \cancel16 \cancel0}  \\  \\ x = 15.

B working time = 15 days.✔

Question

A can do a piece of work in 24 days. B is 60% more efficient than A. The number of days B take to do the same piece of work is

Answer :

\Large\fbox\red{15\: Days}

Solution

Let the work done by A be x so,

x = 24 days

As per the question , 60% of x = b

x \times \frac{60}{100}

 =  \frac{3}{5} \times x = B's work

Now

If x = 24 days then,

 x\times \frac{3}{5}  =  \frac{24}{ x}  \times x \times \frac{3}{5}

 =  \frac{72}{5}  = 14.4

Therefore, B can do the work in 14.4 days (or) 15days.

Hope it helps uh!!
