working together can finish it in 8 hours, in how many hours can C

alone finish the work?

lcm \: 48 \:( total  \: units) \\ a = 2 \: units \: per \: hr \\ b = 3 \: units \: per \: hr \\ a + b + c = 6 \: units \: per \: hr \\ (a + b + c ) -  (a + b) = 6 - 5 = 1 \\ 48 \div 1 = 48hours
