Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

In one day, A can do - 1/25

In one day, B can do = 1/20

In one day, together A and B can complete 1/25 + 1/20 = 9/100

A and B together worked for 5 days.

=> so worked completed in 5 days A & B = 5 * 9/100 = 45/100.

Work left to be completed by B  = 1 - 45/100 = 55/100.

1 : 20 ::55/100: x

Product of means = product of extremes

20 * 55/100 = 1 * x

=> x = 55/100 * 20 = 11 days.

Thus B takes 11 days to complete the remaining work.
